Field Day Shirts with Your Class’s Own Artwork

Give field day a class identity drawn by the students themselves. Before choosing a shirt, check how your school assigns teams, grades and colors. Then build a design your group can wear at the event and enjoy after the last relay.

Choose the artwork approach for your group

These existing shirts show handprints, portraits and star-shaped drawings. They illustrate different artwork options for a class design; your event coordinator can help decide which suits the school’s field-day plan.

Class colors and team colors need different planning

Colors assigned by class or grade

Confirm the school’s assignments before collecting payments. Different classes may use different shirt-and-ink combinations; keep their separate artwork and order details identified.

Several colors within one class

The FAQ permits mixed shirt colors with the same ink color across the shirts. Submit one form for each shirt color and staple the forms together. Review the full color-mixing instructions before dividing quantities.

Use the recommended ink combinations to check whether the selected ink works with each planned shirt color.

Keep the wording useful after field day

Decide whether the shirt should carry the event name or simply the class, school and year. A class-focused design can also be worn for another school event. If you want a particular arrangement of the drawings, discuss the layout before starting; follow the FAQ’s mock-layout instructions for a requested order of faces.

Build one coordinator list for the event

  • Record the class or team, chosen shirt color, shared ink color and responsible adult.
  • Collect shirt sizes through an editable parent letter; include staff or volunteer shirts before completing the quantities.
  • Choose the template and follow its drawing instructions. Use a private checklist to track missing drawings and responses.
  • Check minimums and extras for the actual order structure before collecting money.

Choose a handout date that leaves room for school plans

Agree on when shirts will be distributed and how the school will handle a changed event date. Do the planning before mailing the packet. Spring field days may overlap the busy mid-March-through-early-June processing period. Review seasonal timing and the current turnaround, then allow for mailing, proof review and shipping.

Should we order staff and volunteer shirts with the class?

Confirm the quantities and sizes with your event organizer before completing the form. Review the free teacher-shirt instructions separately; additional adult shirts should be counted according to the selected form.

Which form should we use?

Use the guide and form for your print option, not a separate “field day” form. The class-shirt comparison links directly to the single-ink, full-color and “Class of” options.

Ordering resources for this project

For quantities and product requirements, review pricing and the complete FAQs. Read the instructions on the order forms page before selecting either the PDF or Excel form. Students create the artwork on paper; an adult mails the original drawings and completed packet, then reviews the layout proof before printing.
